Civil/Design Engineer

Seeking a civil engineer with five to ten years consulting engineering experience to work on design and provision of engineering services during construction for water and wastewater projects.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.  Experience with design and construction practices.  Must be able to develop construction plans, specifications, bid documents and write technical reports.
  • Prefer a P.E. in Colorado or ability to obtain Colorado P.E. via reciprocity/comity.
  • Experience with AutoCAD® Civil 3D®.

The successful candidate will work with a diverse staff of experienced engineers and hydrogeologists on a wide range of projects such as water and wastewater treatment process design/evaluation, potable/nonpotable/reuse/pipeline design,  pump station design, dam design, storm drainage design, dewatering/groundwater management design, aquifer recharge,  site grading, water source supply studies and permitting.

CAD Designer

WWE is seeking a full-time AutoCAD/Civil3D Designer.  The ideal candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment with multiple Project Managers, exhibit strong organizational and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.

Job duties and skills include but are not limited to experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D, including:

  • Experience with Civil3D to create 3-dimensional surfaces, compute cut /fill volumes, develop corridor alignments, and create pipe networks.
  • AutoCAD experience with the preparation of civil engineering exhibits and construction plans for water and wastewater treatment facility plans, including interior piping sections, yard piping, and site grading.
  • Site civil drafting, including plan and profiles for sanitary sewers, storm sewer, and waterlines.  Preparation of stormwater management plans.
  • Development of final construction drawings plan sets, call-outs and labeling, line weight adjustment, and maintaining/establishing presentation quality.
  • Detail and title sheet preparation.
  • Experience with building and treatment process floor plans, and familiarity with landscape plans.
  • Ability to work in architectural, engineering, and metric scales.
  • Develop quantity take-offs for cost estimation.

Water Rights/Resource Engineer – Durango

WWE  is looking to hire an experienced water rights/water resources engineer, hydrologist or geologist for our Durango office.  The qualified individual will have achieved, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in an engineering, earth science or environmental program that emphasized water resources AND have 3+ years of water rights experience including the preparation of expert reports for water rights adjudications, water rights evaluations and due diligence. Individuals with or soon to be eligible for a Professional Engineering license are preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate water supply planning and hydrology experience as well as excellent writing skills and an expertise in spreadsheets and Colorado Decision Support System (CDSS) tools.
